Why do the great khans attack me

Sign up for free! However, as soon as I arrived as Red Rock Canyon, a single Great Khan was inexplicably hostile towards me and turned the rest of them against me for no reason. Now I can't go near them without being attacked. I do have a save file from before they turned hostile, but I don't know if it would change anything if I went back and tried again. The only reason i can see the great khans turning hostile too you is if you are wearing faction armor like ncr ranger gear. Since faction gear makes npc's disregard your current reputation with them and since faction gear can make other rival factions hostile i think that might be why you were attacked. If you werent wearing any faction armor when it happened my best guess would be that you either encountered a glitch or a bug that spawned a random hostile khan that attacked you.

I talked to her and everything was fine. I went to go take her the shipment of chems after visiting Tyrone, but when I traveled to the Great Khan Makeshift Camp, I was attacked! I thought, ok, maybe it's this combat armor I'm wearing. So I reloaded and tried it again without any armor at all on. They still attacked me like crazy. I tried this several times, but they immediately went into full on attack mode.

I can't talk to Melissa or anyone. I went to see if I could maybe start the Oh, My Papa quest to try and get my relationship with the Great Khans higher, so I went to Red Rock Canyon and they all instantly attacked me again. What the hell??

I reloaded again, having not completed any of the above quests and tried to do the quest Now I'm doing the quest where you go to the guy in the cave and try to convince him to join the Great Khans and he attacks me instantly! Anyone know what I can do to get out of this bug? Is it a bug?
